Cru at Purdue

Welcome to Fall Getaway!!! Every year Fall Getaway is one of the best events Purdue Cru offers. This year, we are thrilled to be back at Lake Placid in Hartford City, IN. Fall Getaway will begin Friday night, October 11th, and end on Sunday morning, October 13th.

We’ll be hearing from Hung Lu (see bio below), worshiping together, spending time with friends, meet other people in Cru, and enjoying everything fall weather has to offer! Keynote Speaker: Tobias Keyes

Tobias’ ambition was to play pro hockey until Jesus grabbed ahold of his heart the summer before his freshmen year of college through a men’s Bible Study and the gift of a Quest Study Bible. As he grew in his walk with Christ so did his desire to see others understand the amazing offer of the gospel. He got involved in Cru his sophomore year while playing hockey for Ohio University. The training, discipleship, and encouragement he received from Cru students & staff was truly priceless. Tobias joined staff and served with Cru at Ohio University for 8 years before moving to Central Michigan University to help the fledgling movement and trust the Lord to establish a staff team. He has served as a Team leader for 15 years with the Mid Michigan team. One of his favorite parts of staff life is leading teams of students around the world to join in the gospel adventure. He has led teams to France, South Korea, The Middle East, Inner City Detroit, and Guatemala. In his free time he likes to go for walks in the woods with his wife Becky, coaching his kids sportsteams, mountain biking, and playing hockey Sunday nights.
